Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need any previous experience?
    To enrol on the Beauty Educators Diploma you must be qualified within the hair, beauty & aesthetics industry.
  • Will I receive a certificate of completion?
    Yes! On completion of the Beauty Educators Diploma, you will receive a certificate of completion which is a PDF sent via email. You can choose to purchase a printed version of your certificate from the BIA shop.
  • What qualification will I gain?
    On completion of the Beauty Educators Diploma course you will have gained a Level 3 in Teaching & Education equivalent.
  • What assessments are required?
    The Beauty Educators Diploma course is made up of 4 assignments, three of these assignments are question and answer based, and the final assignment is a micro teach session which is a video presentation.
  • Can I gain insurance after completing the course?
    Yes, we have many insurance partners who recognised this qualification. You can provide your certificate to the insurance provider to request a insurance quote.
  • Is this qualification accredited?
    Yes, our Beauty Educators Diploma fully accredited by ABT online.
  • Can I accredit face to face & online courses?
    Yes! We offer accreditation for both face to face and online training courses. These courses are accredited separately even if it's the same subject, as both format of courses requires different documents for approval. Please contact if you have any questions regarding face to face or online accreditation.
  • Is their student age restrictions once accredited?
    For all basic courses such as lash extensions, these can be taught to 16 years or over. Any advanced courses such as dermaplaning etc, is 18 years or over. You can find a full list below on what courses are classed as basic and advanced: https://www.beautyindustryapproval.com/courselist You cannot teach anyone under the age of 16 under BIA accreditation.
  • Does BIA offer insurance?
    No, BIA does not offer insurance cover. We can recommend many of our insurance partners around the world to contact for an insurance quote. All quotes are subject to insurers review, BIA cannot guarantee any insurance cover.   • Is the accreditation price for courses or students?
    Our pricing is per course, this means that if you purchase a single course accreditation, you can accredit 1 course with us and teach as many student's as you would like during the time you are accredited. Prices are not per student.
  • What is a pre-requisite?
    A pre-requisite means a course or other requirement that a student must have taken prior to enrolling in a specific course. For example: A Russian Volume lash extensions requires your students to have a pre-requisite of Classic lash extensions prior to taking the training.
  • Do I need to have qualifications to apply for accreditation?
    Yes, to apply for BIA accreditation you must be qualified in the subjects you would like to apply to teach, this would be your own treatment qualifications. You must also already have a teacher training qualification, a Level 3 in teaching & education or the equivalent. BIA offers a educators package which includes our Beauty Educators Diploma & Accreditation for up to 10 courses.   • How long does accreditation approval take?
    Once we have received all documents required, the accreditation approval can take up to 2 weeks. We may contact you within this time if we need any additional documents or information.
  • Why is accreditation important?
    Accreditation is important because, as a trainer at BIA, you are ensuring that your courses have been approved to the highest standard. This provides reassurance to your students that they are receiving quality training. Once training is complete, students will be able to gain insurance, which is crucial for their professional practice. While accreditation is not mandatory, students will not be able to obtain insurance if the course is not accredited. By maintaining accreditation, BIA upholds industry standards and helps trainers deliver exceptional training programs.
  • Who can purchase BIA wax seal of approval stickers or wax seals?
    Our wax seal stickers and wax seals can be purchased by any of our accredited training providers. You must be approved for BIA accreditation to be able to purchase these.
  • Is delivery for the UK only?
    UK and Northern Ireland: Standard Delivery: 3-5 working days - £2.99 Ireland: International Standard Delivery: 5-7 working days - £5.99 International Delivery: depending on location & custom delay's - £9.99 Please note shipping times will vary due to certain country restrictions.
  • Can I purchase a printed version of my certificate?
    Yes! We offer a printed versions for all of our certificates. Printed on gorgeous pearlecesnt card, laminated and then we pop a little wax seal of approval onto it in the corresponding colour.
